Handling of sea going vessels

The depot is working out of 2 dedicated piers (pier n. 27 and pier n. 28 of Livorno Harbor) and 1 additional (pier n. 25), enabling it to handle 2 vessels simultaneously, with its relevant benefit for its customers.
The maximum draft of the piers is 9 meters and the maximum admitted length of the vessels mooring at the piers is 190 meters.
A new pipeline system that will connect the depot to pier n. 15 of Livorno Harbor, with a maximum draft of – 12 meters is now under construction (due to be finished: June 2016).
Vessels’ handling services are guaranteed 24 h / day for the entire year, due to the work rotation system of our personnel.
When finishing vessel operations the inland pipelines, that are all stainless steel made and dedicated to single products or compatible products, are emptied by means of PIG + Nitrogen at a pressure of 6 bars and kept under Nitrogen, to avoid any humidity or contamination problem.
All handled vessels are continuously monitored by our operators and all activities are run directly under the management of the depot, thanks to the presence on site of a customs agency office (UNIVERSAL), the customer’s surveyor and the appointed maritime agent.
